Release 2.x
TeamViewer 2.x uses the DynGate Router to pass through firewalls.
DynGate is usually downloaded and installed automatically with your first TeamViewer start. The manual download is only required if automatic downloads fail for any reason.
Owners of older license keys that are not
compatible with TeamViewer 2.0 may download
the older release 1.x with the links below.
Please note that DynGate 1.x must also be
manually downloaded as the automatic
download will always fetch the newest
version from the server.
TeamViewer 2.x
was licensed under the GPL - so the complete
source code is available to anybody
interested.
(DynGate and the TeamViewer Manager are
separate programs which are not licensed
under the GPL, the source code is not
available. Also from TeamViewer 3.x the
software is not based on GPL code any more,
so source code for newer versions is not
available)
